Lord Brahma is viewed as the Creator God in Hinduism. Brahma is the primary god in the Hindu Trinity, the other two being Vishnu and Shiva. The trios are responsible for the creation, safeguarding, and destruction of the universe. While Brahma is the creator of the universe and all creatures, Vishnu’s role is to protect the universe, and Shiva goes on to destroy it to re-create. In spite of the fact, Lord Brahma features among the Trinity, He is not as admired as Vishnu and Shiva. Brahma is more found in sacred texts than in homes and temples.

Moreover, Brahma is hardly worshiped by the Hindus. There are only very few temples that are dedicated to Lord Brahma. One such temple of Lord Brahma is situated at Pushkar in Rajasthan, India. One of the normal inquiries among the ones trying to think about Hindu dharma is “Why is Brahma not worshipped as much as Vishnu and Shiva?”

1)Lord Shiva Curse Lord Brahma?

Brahma who is the God of intelligence and the four Vedas also originated from Brahma's head. Even after all this, Brahma is not worshiped, let us know why? Brahma and Vishnu once sparked a dispute as to who is the best of the two. Being the creator of the universe, Brahma Ji was claiming to be superior and Lord Vishnu was considering himself the best since he is the follower of the entire creation. At the same time, there appeared a huge Shivling.

Both of them decided with the consent that the person who first finds the end of the Shivling will be viewed as the best, so both of them went to discover the end of the Shivling. Lord Vishnu returned due to a lack of ends. Indeed, Even Brahma Ji could not succeed, however, Brahma came and disclosed to Vishnu that he had arrived at the end. He described a Ketki flower as an observer to this.

Lord Shiva himself appeared there at the command of Brahma Ji; Shiva knew that Brahma Ji is lying. Shiva disclosed Brahma’s lie and cursed him that he will not be worshipped by people and he cut off one of the heads of Brahma. Since Ketki supported Brahma, Shiva also cursed the Ketki that it will never be used in worship. Since then, Brahma is not worshiped and no temple will be manufactured in his praise on earth.

2)Why Goddess Saraswati Cursed Brahma?

While killing the devil named Vajranash, a lotus flower fell from Brahma's hands at three spots, where three lakes were formed. The place was named Pushkar after that incident. After this incident, Brahma chose to perform a Yagya in Pushkar for the welfare of the world. He arrived at Pushkar to perform the Yagya. He required the presence of his better half Saraswati to complete the ceremonies.

Saraswati could not arrive on time at the Yagya ceremony. This angered Brahma so much that he requested the priest to get him any lady and marry him to her on the spot. Around then, Adishakti manifested as Gayatri who was then married to Lord Brahma. When Saraswati arrived and saw that Brahma had wedded someone else, she cursed him saying that since now he would be only worshiped at Pushkar.
