In 2024 Anant Chaturdashi will be held on 17th September , 2024, TuesdayThe celebration of Anant Chaturdashi is glorified with dedication in the whole nation. The immersion of Ganesha on Anant Chaturdashi is viewed as auspicious. There is joy and flourishing in the house.

On the last day of the Ganesh Chaturthi festival, the tradition of Ganesh Visarjan happens. The closing of the 10-day celebration is also prominently known as Anant Chaturdashi. As the word 'Visarjan' suggests, on this Lord Ganapati's idol takes place in a river, sea, or water body. On the first day of the celebration, the devotees mark the start of Ganesh Chaturthi with the placement of Lord Ganesha's idol in their homes, public places, and workplaces. On the last day, the devotees come out in processions carrying the icons of their cherished God and perform submersion.

Connection between Ganesh Visarjan and Mahabharata?

According to the legend, when the sage Ved Vyas imbibed the whole Mahabharata scene, however, he couldn't compose, so he required somebody who could write the whole Mahabharata without stopping. At that point, he prayed to Lord Brahma. Brahma told him that Ganesh Ji is the lord of wisdom, he will help you. At that point, he prayed to Ganesha to compose Mahabharata, Lord Ganesha has special expertise in writing, he approved to compose Mahabharata.

Sage VedVyas recited the whole account of Mahabharata to Ganesha for ten consecutive days from the day of Chaturthi, which Ganesha Pens truly. After the completion of Mahabharata, when Ved Vyas opened his eyes, he saw that Ganesha's internal heat level was very high. To decrease his internal heat level, Ved Vyas applied mud on Ganesha's body, after the soil dried up, his body swelled and the soil started falling from the body, even then Rishi Ved Vyas took Ganesha to the lake and cleaned the paste.

As per the story, the day Ganesh Ji began writing the Mahabharata was the day of Shukla Paksha's Chaturthi in Bhado month, and the day Mahabharata was finished was the day of Anant Chaturdashi. Since then Ganesh Ji is seated for ten days and Bappa is immersed after the Ganesh celebration on the eleventh day.

Ganesha, who is also called the Lord of New Beginnings is additionally adored as the Remover of Obstacles. It is believed that when the idol of Lord Ganesha is taken out for drenching, it additionally removes with it the various barriers of the home, and these barriers are destroyed alongside the Visarjan. Every year, people wait with great enthusiasm to celebrate the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi. And like always, we also hope that this year as well, the Remover of Obstacles will shower us with His blessings and crash all the battles from our life.
